She transforms this music with her personal touch. Her from-the-heart music making stems from her childhood in Pittsburgh’s “melting pot” and later life in Boston. Her uptempo tunes lilt from her decades of playing with the Bare Necessities quartet and others for many genres of dancing. Before that point, she had primarily played for dancers. Working with Ken in the recording studio, she deeply channeled his expressed emotions about the scenes and brought them to life with very spare playing that stayed in the background but strongly colored the scenes.
